Jonathan Kohrs is the Minister of Music for Grace Lutheran Church. He serves as organist, as well as, he is the director of choral, handbell and instrumental ensembles. Jonathan is also a Professor at Concordia University Chicago, where he has been on faculty since 2001. His courses of teaching include both Church Music and Music History. Before coming to Grace, Jonathan served for 15 years as parish musician and teacher at urban, suburban and rural churches in Wisconsin and Illinois. Mr. Kohrs is an active member of the Association for Lutheran Church Musicians (ACLM) and has coordinated and presented at church music workshops on both the local and national level. In addition, Professor Kohrs has contributed articles to ALCM’s newsletter, *Grace Notes*, and journal, *Cross Accent*. His degrees include a BA and a Master's in Church Music from Concordia University Chicago. He is also pursuing his doctorate in in liturgical
studies at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL.
